Essential cookies and local storage

These are required for the site to work and do not need consent. SpecsTool sets no tracking cookies of its own: we use your browser's local storage for two very specific things.

• Your language preference, so it does not have to be detected on every visit.
• Your advertising cookie choice, so the notice is not shown over and over.

Advertising cookies (third party)

If you accept, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to measure advertising and show relevant ads. These cookies are managed by Google, not by SpecsTool, and their specific lifetime and purpose are described in Google's policies.

• Measurement: counting impressions and clicks and preventing you from seeing the same ad repeatedly.
• Personalisation: selecting ads based on your browsing on this and other sites. Only with your explicit consent.
• Fraud detection and security of the advertising system.

How to give, change or withdraw consent

The first time you arrive you get a notice with two clear options: accept or decline. If you decline, the personalised advertising library is not loaded. You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari all allow this per site), and turn off Google ad personalisation at google.com/settings/ads.

What happens if you decline

Every SpecsTool tool keeps working exactly the same. Calculations run in your browser and do not depend on advertising. The only difference is that you will not see personalised ads.
