This policy explains what data SpecsTool processes when you visit www.specstool.com, why, on what legal basis, and what rights you have over it. SpecsTool is an independent personal project; the data controller is its owner, who you can reach at any time at the email address on the contact page.
SpecsTool has no user accounts and no sign-up forms: we never ask for your name, address or phone number to use any tool. The data we process falls into two kinds.
SpecsTool uses your browser's local storage to remember your language and your cookie choice. In addition, if you accept advertising cookies, the third-party providers described below may set their own. The full detail, including purposes and how to withdraw consent, is in our cookie policy.
This site is funded by advertising served by Google through the AdSense programme. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the Internet.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads) and manage other third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, personalised ads and their cookies are only enabled if you consent in the notice shown on arrival. If you decline, the site works exactly the same and the personalised advertising library is not loaded.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which acts as an infrastructure provider and logs the technical connection data described above. The aggregate visit counter and the site configuration are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Both act as data processors and may store data on servers outside the European Economic Area, covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Processing the technical data required to serve the site relies on our legitimate interest in keeping it running and secure. Advertising cookies rely solely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Technical logs are kept for the limited period applied by the hosting provider; aggregate counters, containing no personal data, are kept indefinitely.
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data, as well as restriction of or objection to its processing, by writing to the address on the contact page. Because we keep no user accounts, in most cases we will not be able to identify you from the data we hold, which is itself a privacy safeguard. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es) if you believe we have not handled your request properly.
SpecsTool is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle data we will update this document and its last-updated date. We recommend reviewing it from time to time.
